About Us

J.R. Holland Food Services are a chilled distributor of fresh produce, established in 1995, initially our core products were fresh fruit & vegetables, prepared vegetables and par fry chips. Today our range includes bakery, dairy and an extensive range of delicatessen products direct from Rungis Market in Paris. We are proud of the region we distribute our products to and make every effort to support local growers and producers so that their produce reaches a wide and varied customer base.

Based on the Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead we are ideally situated to distribute throughout the North East of England via a modern fleet of thirty 7½ton refrigerated vehicles. Since 1995 we have continuously invested in our warehouse and distribution facilities which are now 100% refrigerated, allowing all of our products to be supplied in optimum condition and with maximum shelf life.

We employ 75 dedicated staff, all from our area, all of which are recognised as being important to the continuing success of our company. All of our operational staff have gained an NVQ level 2 appropriate to their role in the company. We recognise the importance of training and investing in our staff, and with this is mind we have embarked on the ‘Investors in People’ award.
