One of the larger areas of the J.R. Holland set-up, Food Services has been the driving force behind recent growth. Acting purely as a chilled distributor we ensure only the best products are delivered to our customers.

The business has benefited from major investment including purpose-built high-tech facilities such as chilled warehouses and a modern fleet of refrigerated vehicles allowing all of our produce to be stored, packed and distributed in cold chain conditions. This ensures fresh produce, including fruit and vegetables, prepared vegetables and potatoes, bakery, meat, delicatessen and dairy products meet the highest quality standards before arriving to you in immaculate condition.

With around 100 employees on its books, J.R. Holland Food Services Ltd uses a sophisticated quality training system that meets the rigorous standards of ISO9002 and incorporates a state-of-the-art HACCP system.

We provide for a variety of different customers dependent on needs i.e. quality, speed of delivery, quantity etc. For instance, we currently cater for all of the 12 local authorities within the North of England, ensuring only the finest produce ends up in schools and hospitals.

We supply major national catering firms such as Sodexho, Aramark and Compass Granada, as well as restaurants, ferry companies and bars. We also have a number of celebrated clients such as Newcastle United, Sunderland AFC, Newcastle Falcons, Fenwick’s, John Lewis and all of the major universities in the North-East. Due to the fast moving nature and size of these industries, these customers receive an exceptional daily delivery of the range, quantity and quality required.
