J.R. Holland & Son

Any flourishing yield needs to be based on solid groundwork – we know that better than most.  J.R. Holland & Son, set-up by John Holland and his father in the early eighties, is that sturdy foundation on which the rest of our companies are established.

Our traditionally-run business still to this day operates a highly successful wholesale market-based cash & carry at the Team Valley Fruit and Vegetable market in Gateshead. We cater for independent retailers, convenience stores, secondary wholesalers and catering suppliers, focusing on four key trading areas;

• Vegetables
• Potatoes
• Fruit
• Salad

We have an established and growing UK supplier base and are making a major company-wide effort to source local produce as much as possible. In addition, we import produce from France, Spain, Holland and Italy, with strong trading relations being developed with partners in Portugal and Morocco.

We are proud to have a firmly established and loyal customer base spread across the Tyne-Tees region.
